Downtown Event Turns Out Witches, Warlocks, and Brews

New this year, the Downtown Excelsior Partnership (DEP) hosted “Witch Way To The Wine” event on Saturday, October 29th! This sold out event turned out over 354 witches and warlocks that flew through downtown to 24 different locations, receiving a wine tasting at each stop! Business owners got into the spirit dressing up and decorating their business spaces with Halloween fun! VIP ticket holders were treated to an early checkin and gourmet brunch board and glass of wine at Pairings by Van Till before the event.
DEP Executive Director Lyndsey Baxter said, “We (DEP) felt like the first year to Witch Way to the Wine was a great success. We were so happy to welcome so many people from cities near and far to the downtown district. It was such a fun time to see so many of our event attendees get in the spirit of Halloween and participate in costume while exploring the businesses of Downtown Excelsior Springs. While we haven’t finalized the estimated economic impact, feedback suggests that everyone had a wonderful time and our businesses enjoyed having the increased foot traffic inside their storefronts.”
Businesses participating included: Atlas Saloon Brewery, BluBox Boutique, Bohemian Sage Gallery, Broadway Bar & Grill, Casa Di Vite, Dubious Claims Brewing Co, E.S. Museum & Archives, Four Horses and a Dog Winery, Kilgore’s Vintage and Design, Knit Ewe Together, Molly Roberts Studio, Moments and Memories, New Age Skincare Spa, One Step at a Time, Other Trails, Pairings by Van Till, Slightly Off Broadway, Sturm Bros.’ Fine Jewelry, Style by Ry, The Elms Hotel & Spa, Uptown Roots, Ventana Gourmet Grill, Willow Spring Mercantile, Wine & Shine Tasting Room, Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce
