SAVANNAH, Mo., Oct. 19, 2025 — The softball season came to an end for the Lady Tigers with a 4-3 loss to the Savannah Savages in the Class 3 District 8 semifinals Saturday afternoon. The Lady Tigers outhit the Savages 8-6 in the loss, but a single run in the second and three runs in the third inning were enough for the Savages to advance to the district championship game.

Senior Bella Loeffert opened the game with a single and then scored on a double by senior Willa Schreier, but that was all the offense could muster until the seventh inning. Senior Kayden Rogers opened the seventh with a walk, advanced to second on a passed ball, and then scored on a double by Loeffert, who later scored on a sacrifice fly by senior Josie Casler.

A first-round win over the Cameron Dragons gave the Lady Tigers their 19th win of the season and advanced them to the semifinal game. They used a six-run sixth inning to pull away for a 10-2 win. A single run in the second inning gave them the lead and stretched it out to 4-0 after three innings. The Dragons scored two runs in the fourth to cut the lead in half, but the big sixth inning sealed the victory for the Lady Tigers.

Casler had three hits and five runs batted in on the night. Senior Keira Romazon added two hits for the Lady Tigers and picked up the win in the circle. She threw a complete game, giving up two runs on three hits while striking out 11 in the win.

The semifinal loss completed a 19-11 season, matching the Lady Tigers’ 19-win mark from 2024.
