Authorities have charged a transient man in connection with a road rage incident that escalated into a shooting Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Highway 69 and Schwartz Road.

A road rage incident Thursday afternoon culminated in a shooting, according to the Excelsior Springs Police Department. The altercation, which began in the Walmart parking lot, led to an arrest later in the day.
