Unidentified Body Found in Mosby Woods, Suicide Suspected

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating a case of apparent suicide in a wooded area near Mosby, MO. Responding to an inquiry from the Excelsior Citizen, officials stated that a body was discovered on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

As of now, the identity of the deceased remains unconfirmed. The authorities are awaiting autopsy results, expected to be released next week, to provide further insights into the circumstances surrounding the death.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department cautioned against the spread of unverified information as the investigation is ongoing. The department urges anyone with additional information about the case to contact them.
