Trailer Fire Early Tuesday Morning at Majestic Hills Mobile Home Park
Fire crews responded to a structure fire early Tuesday morning in the Majestic Hills Mobile Home Park located in the 2000 block of Kearney Road.
Excelsior Springs Fire Department was dispatched at approximately 6:34 a.m. and arrived on scene within four minutes. Crews initiated offensive fire suppression efforts upon arrival. Fortunately, the occupants of the home were able to evacuate before firefighters arrived.
Due to limited water access on the east side of the city, the department received assistance from multiple mutual aid partners. The Liberty Fire Department provided a pumper truck, Kearney Fire Department responded with an ambulance, and both the Fishing River and Lawson Fire Departments supplied tanker support.
This incident marked the second structure fire that the department’s B shift has responded to in less than 24 hours.

The State Fire Marshall is investigating it as an arson as some accelerant seemed to have been used and seems to have come from outside. A day later the driver window and mirror were broken on our box truck.”
