Price, Watkins Lead Lady Tigers in Victory Over Lexington

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo., Sept. 18, 2025 — A sweep of the Lexington Minutewomen highlighted the week for the Lady Tiger volleyball team.

After dropping matches to Smithville and Maryville, Excelsior Springs bounced back Sept. 18 with a straight-sets win over Lexington. The Lady Tigers won 25-20, 25-14, and 25-21.

Senior Jordin Price led the offensive attack with nine kills, while junior Camden McDaniels added six. Senior Lillah Shue and junior Raelyn Kirtly combined to set the offense with 15 assists each. Junior Kendalyn Jones recorded four service aces, and senior Maya Watkins anchored the defense with 14 digs. Shue and Jones each added 12 digs.

Earlier in the week, the Lady Tigers fell 3-0 to Smithville on Sept. 15 by scores of 25-20, 25-10, and 25-12. McDaniels finished with five kills, and Shue and junior Lara Hutton had four apiece. Junior Maddie Breshears tallied 15 digs, and Watkins added 11.

A Sept. 16 trip to Maryville ended in another three-set loss, with the Spoofhounds winning 25-14, 25-11, and 25-13. Price led with seven kills, while Hutton chipped in four. Watkins collected 14 digs, with Shue and Breshears adding eight each.

The Lady Tigers, now 3-10-1, will face Lawson, Winnetonka, and Grandview this week.
