Citizen Joshua Oldham won the classic bowling division at the Heart of America Junior Classic earlier this week, preparing him for the Junior Gold Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana. Joshua didn’t start doing tournaments until three years ago and lost a year, like everyone else, due to covid. After bowling at Tiger Bowl for six years, Joshua’s talents allowed him to join 1,100 boys in his division for this national tournament. By the end of his first Junior Gold tournament he placed 221st out of 1,169 of the best bowlers in the country! Now he’s planning his attack on next year’s Junior Gold, to be held in Grand Rapids!

Joshua said about the tournament, “I had a fantastic time! The meeting of new people and things I have learned from this tournament have only made me want to bowl more and at the highest level now.”
