In a touching gesture of community spirit, citizens of Excelsior Springs gathered to bring holiday cheer to one of their own. Isabelle Sears, a courageous young woman who has been battling brain cancer since she was just five years old, was the guest of honor at a special Christmas parade.

The event, orchestrated by the Excelsior Springs High School student council, the Carlyle family, and other community members, showcased a display of unity and compassion. Participants decorated their vehicles with festive adornments and drove by the Sears residence, each presenting handmade Christmas cards.

A parade highlight was the Tigerettes dance squad, who stopped outside Isabelle’s home to perform an impromptu cheer. This gesture brought immense joy to Isabelle and her family, serving as a vivid reminder of the community’s love and support.

During this challenging period for the Sears family, the commitment and empathy of the Excelsior Springs community have shone brightly. The parade was more than a festive event; it was a testament to the power of community, care, and the enduring spirit of Christmas.
