The second annual Night With the Band fundraiser, a follow-up to the highly successful inaugural event in 2022, was held at the Montgomery Event Venue last Thursday. The first fundraiser, held to support the band’s trip to St. Louis, was a resounding success, prompting the decision to make this a yearly tradition.
Excelsior Springs High School’s drama department presented a two-day production of James Goldman’s historical drama “The Lion in Winter” on April 5 and 6. Directed by theater teacher Jeff Haney, the play brought to life the complex dynamics of King Henry II’s court in 1183 England.

On Friday, March 22nd, the Excelsior Springs High School’s Mock Trial team headed to St. Charles, Missouri, to compete in state championships. For months, Excelsior Springs High School’s team and other teams across the nation have been preparing, practicing, and performing their fictional case.
