Café 1700, the popular dining spot located within Excelsior Springs Hospital, is scheduled to reopen its doors to the public on Tuesday, March 19, following a closure that lasted more than a week due to equipment malfunctions.

In an effort to combat teen drug abuse, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office is inviting parents to an event titled “Hidden in Plain Sight,” which will take place at Winnetonka High School (5815 NE 48th St., Kansas City, Mo.) on Monday, March 18, at 6 p.m. This free event will educate parents and guardians on how to recognize signs of illegal drug use by allowing them to inspect a staged teenager’s bedroom and vehicle at the school.
