Adoptable Pet of the Week: Meet Zappa, the Blue-Eyed Gentleman Looking for a Peaceful Retirement

This week’s Adoptable Pet is Zappa—a 13-year-old seal point Siamese with bright blue eyes and refined, gentlemanly manners.

Zappa found his way to the Excelsior Springs Animal Control Center after his previous owner surrendered him during a move. While change can be difficult, Zappa has kept his affectionate heart. He is a neutered male who is already front-declawed; he is looking for a calm, cozy home where he can enjoy his golden years in peace.

Though he’s in his senior stage, Zappa is still an avid attention-seeker. He seeks companionship and would be happiest in a home where someone is around to give him regular affection and soft spots to nap. His ideal environment would be quiet and calm, and without small children. He does extremely well with other cats, so a home with feline company is welcome.

Don’t let the gentlemanly looks fool you—Zappa still has a playful side! Here he is reaching for a toy during playtime.

This polite and affectionate senior cat is looking for a soft place to land and someone to share slow, peaceful days with. If you’re searching for a calm, loving companion to curl up with, Zappa may just be your perfect match.

Zappa is available for adoption through the Excelsior Springs Animal Control Center, located at 1298 S Marietta St, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024. To see if Zappa is the right fit for your home, call 816-630-0816 to speak with an officer. Appointments and applications are required for adoption visits.

Adoption fees include vaccinations and all necessary veterinary care. To view other available animals and learn more about the adoption process, visit the Excelsior Springs Animal Control Center’s official Facebook page.

With a dignified gaze and a calm presence, Zappa is patiently waiting for the right person to give him the retirement he deserves.
