An email from ESSD administration encourages all parents to register returning students beginning Tuesday, July 13, 2021.
If you have a returning ESSD student this fall, please register in the PowerSchool Parent Portal beginning Tuesday, July 13th, 2021.
ESSD Adiministration
An email went out to all Excelsior Springs High School families today (7/12/21) which provided some useful information about the return to classes this fall, along with a schedule of enrollment and opening day activities (see below).
11th and 12th grade Students will enroll on Tuesday, August 10th from 11 am to 2 pm or from 4 to 6 pm at the ESHS Commons.
9th and 10th grade students will enroll on Thursday, August 12th from 11 am to 2 pm or from 4 to 6 pm at the ESHS Commons. For our incoming 9th grade students, there is also an Orientation (attendance is optional, but recommended) on August 12th from 8 am to 12 pm in the High School gym. This is an opportunity for our new freshmen students to learn their way around the building, meet their Link Leaders and just get acclimated to high school life (while having some fun, too!).
During enrollment, students will have their picture taken for their IDs and the yearbook, they will get their schedules, have an opportunity to purchase parking passes, yearbooks, etc. They will also be given their district-provided iPad on this date so attendance is important so that students are ready to go on the first day of school (August 26th). iPad insurance is $20 and may also be paid at this time.
