EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. (Sept. 15, 2024) — Located on the west side of town, Altered Trend is a hidden gem offering tanning, lash and brow services, and a boutique—all under one roof. If you haven’t visited yet, you’re missing out!

Lotions and potions to make your tanning session the best.

Altered Trend is owned by Amanda McAtee, a mother of five, who also works for Excelsior Springs Hospital. McAtee operates the shop with her business partner, Elizabeth Sapp. The duo began their first shop in Lawson, but when Altered Trend opened its doors in Excelsior Springs last August, they made the choice to close the Lawson location.

When you walk into Altered Trend, you’ll find a variety of offerings beyond tanning services. The boutique features a selection of women’s clothing and a collection of stylish purses.

Trendy and stylish. What else would you expect at Altered Trend?

For those looking to save on tanning, McAtee offers a VIP membership. Customers can sign a six- or 12-month commitment and receive substantial savings on tanning services. Membership fees are charged monthly during the commitment.

In addition to traditional tanning, Altered Trend offers spray tanning for those who prefer to avoid UV exposure. Spray tans are administered in a private booth by a machine, allowing customers to enjoy the process in comfort and privacy.

Top of the line tanning tech!

Whether you’re looking to get a tan before your next special event or treat yourself to lash extensions and some boutique shopping, Altered Trend has something for everyone.
