Suspect Charged with 1st Degree Assault and Armed Criminal Action After Shooting on Titus Ave.

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in the early in the morning at approximately 5:57 AM, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Titus Avenue in response to a report of a shooting. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. Multiple individuals were present at the location, and one of them was subsequently taken into custody.
The suspect, identified as Ronald Dean Lana Jr. (44), has been charged with 1st Degree Assault and Armed Criminal Action. Mr. Lana is currently being held on a bond of $150,000.
