Watkins Woolen Mill State Park Hosts Annual ‘Christmas on the Farm’ Celebration
Excelsior Springs, MO — Embrace the holiday spirit at Watkins Woolen Mill State Park and Historic Site during the annual “Christmas on the Farm” event, set for Saturday, December 7th, from 2 to 7 p.m.
This festive event invites visitors of all ages to step back in time and enjoy the magic of a 19th-century Christmas. Guests can stroll through the Visitor’s Center, delight in the sounds of holiday music, and create a keepsake craft to take home.
The Historic Site will also come alive with the glow of lanterns and candles illuminating the lane and exterior of the Watkins House, providing a picturesque scene reminiscent of Christmases past. Warm up with complimentary wassail and hot cider, perfect for the winter evening.
For those looking to immerse themselves even further, a limited number of tickets are available for guided tours inside the Watkins House. These free tours offer a glimpse into how Christmas was celebrated during the 1800s. Advance reservations are required and can be made online or by phone.
