Waterfest Returns Bigger and Better Than Ever
Volunteers of the Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce work year-round in order to bring a successful festival to the town. The past two years the festival has been a victim of both COVID-19 and summer storms, but this year, the celebrations commenced without a hitch! Named after the community’s mineral waters, Waterfest is the city’s largest event and is a fundraiser for the Chamber and business community. With over 100 vendors and a weekend packed with free, professional entertainment, the event was a huge hit!

You probably won’t recognize any of these people because they’re all visitors to Excelsior Springs. However, they were this year’s Waterfest Parade winners with their awesome animal inflatables and cheerful attitudes! This group visited Excelsior Springs 7 years ago for a bachelorette party and had such a great time that now they come back every year! This year, they got matching t-shirts and costumes to participate in the Parade! Self named “Cheers Bitches” were thrilled to take first and donated their winnings back to the Chamber and community. Second place was the Excelsior Springs Hospital and third place was the Manley Home Team. All awardees donated their winnings back to the organization.
