In a celebration of the Halloween spirit, the Maring family (1013 Rose Ave.) emerged as the winner of the Thrive Excelsior Monthly Curb Appeal Award for October. The award, sponsored and presented this month by Greg Broadbent on behalf of Family Wealthcare Center, recognizes homeowners who enhance the beauty of their homes and neighborhoods. On hand to receive the award was family patriarch Troy Maring.

The Maring’s residence stood out with its festive Halloween decorations that captured the essence of the season. Every detail of their decor, from carved pumpkins to lighting effects, contributed to the atmosphere that Halloween enthusiasts adore. The Maring’s creativity and attention to detail were on display, making their home a neighborhood gem.

The Thrive Excelsior Monthly Curb Appeal Award encourages residents to take pride in their homes and create welcoming environments for their neighbors. The Marings exemplify this spirit of community pride with their dedication to enhancing the aesthetics of their property. Broadbent presented the award and a gift certificate for $25 to Ace Hardware to Troy Maring in a small ceremony on Wednesday, November 1st. Broadbent expressed his admiration for Maring’s commitment to the community’s well-being.

“I’m happy to present this month’s Curb Appeal Award to Troy,” Broadbent remarked during the presentation. “His enthusiasm for decorating his home for Halloween brings joy to the neighborhood and showcases the sense of community that Excelsior Springs is known for. We hope Troy’s example inspires others to take pride in their homes and contribute to our town’s charm.”
