PreventIVe Health & Wellness Expands to Excelsior Springs With Downtown Grand Opening

Owners Melissa and Adam Abramovitz joined staff, supporters, and Chamber representatives for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at PreventIVe Health & Wellness’ new location at 417 S. Thompson Ave.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. — PreventIVe Health & Wellness marked the opening of its new downtown clinic with a two-day celebration that combined health services, community vendors, and a showcase of handmade Amish goods.

Owners Melissa and Adam Abramovitz welcomed visitors throughout the weekend as they celebrated the launch of their third location at 417 S. Thompson Ave. The company already operates clinics in Orrick and Oak Grove.

The festivities began Friday with clinic tours, raffle prizes, and refreshments, capped by a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon. Knowledgeable staff were on hand to answer questions and explain the clinic’s initial services, including nutritional IVs, IM injections, weight loss consultations, and hormone management.

Saturday’s events brought additional highlights, including appearances by The Zen Salt Den, Wicked Good Scent Co., The Psi Collection, and Kristi’s Healing Creations. Guests also browsed handmade Amish goods, quilts, wood furniture, and home décor, offered through owner Melissa Abramovitz’s partnership with the large Amish clientele she serves.

Melissa has been a registered nurse for more than 20 years and earned her Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2019. She spent 16 years in emergency medicine before transitioning fully to functional medicine.

“While studying for my Nurse Practitioner license, it sparked an interest in Holistic/Functional medicine. I knew I wanted to help patients, family, and myself get well from the inside out. My goal is to get to the root cause of the medical problem and reverse it,” Abramovitz said.

PreventIVe Health & Wellness emphasizes prevention and alternative healthcare solutions, offering diagnostic services designed to help patients restore health and vitality. With the addition of their Excelsior Springs clinic and the unique bonus of Amish-made goods, the Abramovitz family is blending health, wellness, and community into one downtown destination.
