DESCRIPTION:The Veteran R.E.A.D.S. Program (VRP) is a story-informed\, community-based gathering that brings together veterans\, active-duty service members\, first responders\, family members\, and civilians to better understand the veteran experience and to build what R.E.A.D.S. stands for: Resilience\, Education\, Advocacy\, Dialogue\, and Service.\nEach session uses literature\, myth\, short readings\, and guided discussion as a safe entry point for reflection and conversation. Participants read someone else’s story first\, then use it as a mirror to think about their own experiences\, transitions\, and identities. Sharing personal stories is always optional.\nVRP sessions are:\n* Facilitated and structured\, but informal and welcoming\n* No prior reading or preparation required\n* Focused on listening\, reflection\, dialogue\, and connection\n* Designed to support resilience\, belonging\, and mutual understanding\nThere is no cost to attend.
