The Community Development Department of the City of Excelsior Springs is hosting a Home Repair Assistance Open House at the Excelsior Springs Community Center on March 3, 2022, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Local nonprofit organizations that assist property owners with home repairs will be present with information about their services. The public is invited to attend and inquire about eligibility for assistance. It is recommended that interested homeowners bring photos of their homes’ repair needs.
“We have several homeowners who have home repair needs who may be eligible for financial assistance to address those needs. Some property maintenance issues can become so serious that they become safety issues or code violations. Accessibility modifications to homes may also be addressed,” said Laura Mize of the Neighborhoods Division of the Community Development Department.
