Guess Who’s Coming to Town After All? 🚂🎄

Holiday Train

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. Remember that story we wrote saying the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train was bypassing Excelsior Springs this year? Well… about that.

It turns out we were wrong – delightfully, gloriously wrong! According to an updated route map released by CPKC, the Holiday Train will be rolling right through Excelsior Springs after all! So, instead of packing up the kids and driving to Lawson, you can break out the hot cocoa, grab your Santa hats, and wave from your own hometown.

We’d like to officially retract our earlier heartbreak and replace it with holiday joy! The elves must have worked some magic on the scheduling board, because the train, decked out in lights and music and good cheer, is back on track to bring smiles to Excelsior once again.

The CPKC Holiday Train departs Chillicothe after a performance featuring Smash Mouth and JJ Wilde, both traveling onboard for the holiday tour. Expect it to chug through our area around 4:00–4:30 p.m. on November 26 — this time, for real.

You can follow its merry progress on the official CPKC Holiday Train map.

So, Excelsior Springs, get ready to jingle all the way to Broadway — because the holiday train is coming to town!
