
A single-vehicle accident occurred this morning at approximately 9:00 AM in Ray County, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 38-year-old Donald W. Vassmer was traveling westbound on 88th Street, just half a mile west of Route O, in a 2000 Ford F150 when he failed to negotiate a curve. Vassmer’s vehicle then ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned before coming to rest on its wheels.
Vassmer, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was not wearing a safety device and sustained serious injuries. He was transported by Ray County EMS to North Kansas City Hospital for medical treatment.
The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed by R & L Shoemaker. The accident was assisted by MSGT D J Kline and TPR T K Leftwich.
