The city of Excelsior Springs took time on Thursday evening to celebrate the many volunteers who offer their time and services to the organizations and boards that help to keep the city functioning smoothly. A pulled pork buffet was served at Golf Hill Grille to approximately 50 volunteers who were able to attend. The guests participated in raffles and a trivia game and enjoyed a time to reflect on the accomplishments that have been made through the year. Shannon Stroud, Human Resources Director and emcee for the event thanked the crowd saying, “Without the many volunteers who give their time and energy the city of Excelsior Springs would not be able to do all of the wonderful things we do.” To find out how you can volunteer for one of the many boards or organizations that make our community great visit the Excelsior Springs Volunteer Information Page.
