DESCRIPTION:Strengthening Families Sep 2025When: This is a 7-week class meeting Tuesday evenings from September 9th-October 21 from 5:30-8:00p.m.\nWhere: Excelsior Springs Community Center\nDetails: The class is intended for parents/caregivers and their 10-14 year-old children\, however children a year\nor so beyond those ranges are welcome to attend also. Free childcare at the Community Center Childwatch is\nprovided for younger siblings. A catered dinner is provided for all family members each week from 5:30-6:00.\nParents and Youth participate in separate sessions from 6-7 and then a combined family session from 7-8. The\nclasses\, dinner\, and childcare are all provided free of charge through grant funding and community partnerships.

Once those come in\, they will be emailed to members so they can get their initial reads and comments ready before the meeting. At the meeting\, we will continue to go over them utilizing “The Critique BLT” method..If you participated in the children’s story writing challenge\, feel free to bring that along to read\, if you’d like. We would love to hear it. Still want to participate? Message me..As always\,\nPlease try to arrive by 6pm..Feel free to bring any of your work to read if we have time. If you want feedback\, bring copies to pass around..The library asks that we refrain from bringing in any foods or drinks that are not pre-packaged or commercially prepared (i.e. no homemade cookies\, but a box of Oreos would be fine to share). We want to be welcome back\, so please be considerate of this..We will meet in the community room where we can laugh and talk freely. It’s quite a cozy library.
