DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Self Defense Class on June 1st in partnership with Stride Martial Arts! This is for ages 15+.This is a FREE class but registration is required. Register May 6th-May 31st. \nLearn about the coaches:\nMatt Waters has been training Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2009. He is currently a Brown Belt in BJJ under James Krause. Previously\, he was an owner in a MMA gym in Gladstone. In 2023 he decided to sell his ownership there and open up Stride Martial Arts and Fitness in Excelsior\, which is closer to his hometown of Orrick. They teach Jiu Jitsu classes to youth and adults of all skill and fitness levels. \nRich Salzman is a Brown Belt in Jiu Jitsu under Zak Cummings\, and an officer of the Kansas City Missouri Police Department. Officer Salzman teaches BJJ classes weekly for officers at the Police Academy\, and leads many self defense seminars for the public.
