Second annual event in Liberty, Missouri

Missouri MUFON is hosting a town hall meeting for persons interested in UFOs in the Northland area where multiple strange sightings have occurred. Witnesses will explain what they saw during recent encounters, and Missouri MUFON investigators will take sighting reports.

Liberty, Missouri June 18, 2025

Carl Harper, NE Section Director for Missouri MUFON, and Jean Walker, Kansas City Section Director will discuss two fascinating UFO cases in the areas of Lawson, Liberty, and Sugar

Creek. Margie Kay, Central Region Director, will discuss the history of MUFON and what MUFON is currently doing to get information out to the public, and provide a place to file UFO

reports that will be investigated.

World UFO Day is celebrated worldwide on July 2. July 2 was declared as the official World UFO Day by the World UFO Day Organisation. It is believed that the first World UFO Day was celebrated in 2001 by UFO researcher Haktan Akdogan. The stated goal of the July 2 celebration is to raise awareness of "the undoubted existence of UFOs" and to encourage governments to declassify their files on UFO sightings. World UFO Day is celebrated by stirring conversations about how and why humans are not the only beings in the Universe. The WUFDO (World UFO Day Organisation) promotes various events and educational workshops with the idea of getting people to know about UFOs.

The event is being held July 2, 2025 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at the Mid-Continent Public Library, Withers Branch, 1665 S. Withers Road, Liberty, MO 64084

A $5 donation is requested but not mandatory.
