First up, We’ll swing by “Old St. Patrick’s Church” at 8th and Cherry. Here is where the early days of Irish immigrants (its first members), created the very ‘heart’ of the Irish community.
Now that you have worked up an appetite, Enjoy A tasty Irish lunch buffet prepared by Irish Chef, Shaun Brady. He will be waiting for you at the KC Irish Heritage Center. Here you will also enjoy a “Guinness Pouring” activity & tasting.
Driscoll Irish Dancers entertain you after lunch, then on to Brown’s Irish Marketplace, we go!
This marketplace is the oldest Irish establishment in North America and has been owned by the same family since 1901. Brown’s will have Irish everything available for purchase; Irish beer, Irish Whiskey, & Irish Tea.
Finally, Enjoy Shamrock-themed cookies on the ride home to Excelsior Springs.
