- Claim the property as their primary residence.
- Be responsible for paying real estate taxes on the property.

The tax relief is calculated by subtracting the real estate property tax of the base year (2024) from the current year’s real estate property tax. This relief is not retroactive, and only those who apply in 2025 or later will benefit, using 2024 as their base tax year.
