The Excelsior Springs Lady Tigers’ winning streak came to an end Thursday afternoon in a high-scoring contest, as they fell 18-10 to the Smithville Lady Warriors despite a strong offensive showing from Alyssa Dean and Josie Casler.
After a challenging start to the week with a 3-0 loss to Lawson, the Excelsior Springs volleyball team roared back with consecutive wins over Winnetonka and Grandview. Strong offensive contributions from seniors Samantha Shue and Kenzlee McDaniels helped propel the Tigers to victory, building momentum as they head into more conference matches
The Excelsior Springs Tigers fell to the Smithville Warriors 42-7 in a challenging home game Friday night at Vic Bonuchi Field. Despite a strong second-quarter touchdown by senior Marquez McCant, the Tigers couldn’t overcome early turnovers and a dominant Smithville offense, which saw running back Austin Clevenger score three rushing touchdowns.
The Excelsior Springs Tigers varsity boys’ and girls’ cross country teams delivered solid performances at the Duane Kimble Invitational on Tuesday, with several runners contributing significantly to the team’s success. The boys’ team, in particular, showcased its depth, while the girls’ team saw strong back-to-back finishes from two of their top runners.
