After nearly two years without a victory, the Excelsior Springs boys basketball team finally broke through and fittingly, it came against the same program they last defeated back in January 2024. The Tigers opened the 2025–26 season with a 56-42 win over East (Kansas City), snapping a 41-game losing streak and starting the year on a high note.
