Timothy Haslett Jr. has been indicted on an additional charge of first-degree murder for the death of Jaynie Crosdale, Clay County Prosecutor Zachary Thompson announced today. During a 3:30 PM press conference, Thompson, joined by various law enforcement officials, including Excelsior Springs Police Chief Gregory Dull, detailed the new charges brought against Haslett.
Timothy Haslett, the Excelsior Springs man being held in the Clay County Detention Center on nine felony counts, appeared in court on Wednesday, July 3, at 1:30 PM. Haslett faces charges including first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
On Tuesday, July 2nd KHMO Radio reported that at around 8:30 pm, the highest wind speed was confirmed by NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center near Excelsior Springs with gusts estimated at speeds of 70-75 miles per hour.
