Clay County Sheriff’s deputies recovered a stolen truck and arrested its driver on Tuesday afternoon following a high-speed pursuit that spanned multiple counties, including Liberty, Excelsior Springs, and Ray County. The chase involved spike strips, off-road driving, and ended safely near O Highway and Perry Road.
Prosecuting Zachary Thompson announced a new “No Refusal” initiative to combat intoxicated driving in Clay County, pledging 24/7 support for law enforcement to obtain warrants for blood samples from drivers refusing chemical tests.
