Multi-Agency Pursuit Ends Near The Elms; Both Suspects Now in Custody
A stolen vehicle pursuit that rolled into Excelsior Springs Friday night ended near The Elms Hotel with one arrest at the scene and a second suspect taken into custody early Saturday morning after a drone-assisted search of the surrounding wooded area.

Nine New Child Pornography Counts Filed Against Excelsior Springs Youth Volunteer; Police Say More Victims Likely
Excelsior Springs police say former church youth volunteer Donald Aaron Axtell now faces nine additional child pornography charges, bringing the total to 12 counts including statutory rape and furnishing pornographic material to a minor. Investigators say a search warrant at his home uncovered a hidden bathroom camera and thousands of images, and they believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.
