Boopylocks Expands with New 24/7 Tanning Salon Boopertone in Downtown Excelsior Springs

The glow of success is shining even brighter for Boopylocks Salon, as owners Betty and Donny Evans officially cut the ribbon Wednesday on their new 24/7 tanning salon next door to their original location on Marietta Street in downtown Excelsior Springs.

The grand opening celebration featured refreshments, tours of the vibrant new space, and a photo op to commemorate the moment Betty’s long-held dream became reality. For over a year, the couple has been working toward this expansion, with countless hours of work to help create a unique and inviting atmosphere designed to transport guests straight to the beach.

“This has been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time,” Betty said during the event. “We wanted to create a space that felt uplifting and fun—and we wanted it to be accessible anytime.”

The new tanning salon features multiple themed rooms, each decorated to enhance the experience, with high-powered tanning bulbs for optimal results. Customers can join for a monthly membership fee of $75, which includes unlimited access to the facility 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Members receive their own key, allowing them to tan at their convenience—day or night.

In a comment on Facebook, customer Shelly Davis said, “Congratulations! I have been enjoying it for a month or more and I must say it’s nice to go tanning on your own time ANYTIME! And the monthly package you can’t beat!”

In addition to tanning, Betty shared that plans are already in motion to bring red light therapy services into the new location in the near future, adding another wellness option for locals.

With the expansion, Boopylocks continues to grow as a beauty and wellness destination in downtown Excelsior Springs, building on its reputation for friendly service, creative style, and community charm.
