Trail Work Day

We have a bit more of a honeysuckle jungle to get through, but the woods are about to open up for much more easy sailing
Meet at the airport parking lot. The trail head is just across the road at the clearing. If you can’t arrive at the start time we will be working on the trail that goes off to the left. The portion of trail we will be working on is just below the road.(see picture). You can also park at the golf course if they are not too busy
Wear sturdy shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Gloves are a must to avoid blisters. Safety glasses are recommended. Bring a way to carry water with you if possible.
We will have plenty of tools available, but feel free to bring your own pulaski or pick axe. We will primarily be removing Shrub Honeysuckle by the roots to shape the trail corridor.
This is strenuous physical work, but anyone is welcome to join us. All volunteers are required to sign a waiver found here-
