Fire Guts Mobile Home in Excelsior Estates

Excelsior Estates, Mo. (January 6, 2025) — A mobile home in Excelsior Estates was destroyed by fire on Monday evening, January 6. The Excelsior Springs Fire Department responded to a mutual aid call from the Lawson Fire Department at approximately 6:30 p.m.

According to Lawson Fire Chief Ryan Busby, the structure was fully engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived. Initial reports indicated it was unclear if anyone was inside the home. Fortunately, the trailer’s owner was not home at the time, and no human injuries were reported.

Despite efforts to contain the blaze, the trailer was deemed a total loss. Tragically, one dog perished in the fire, according to responding firefighters from the Excelsior Springs Fire Department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
