Excelsior Springs Gears Up for the 1st Annual Irish Festival on September 14th

Excelsior Springs is about to turn green with excitement as the community gathers for the 1st Annual Excelsior Springs Irish Festival on Saturday, September 14th. This inaugural event, hosted at the picturesque Shamrock Hills Vineyard and Winery, promises a full day of Irish-themed festivities, offering something for everyone in the family.

The festival kicks off at 11:00 AM and runs until 8:00 PM, with Excelsior Springs Mayor Mark Spohn serving as the event’s Master of Ceremonies. Visitors can expect a day filled with live music, Irish dance, delicious food, artisan crafts, and plenty of fun activities.

Event Highlights:

Live Music and Performances: Enjoy the melodic tunes of The Canterberries, Eddie Delahunt, Into the Sun, and Stolen Apples throughout the day. Don’t miss the O’Riada-Manning Academy of Irish Dance performance at 2:00 PM or the lively Mr. and Ms. Legs contest starting at 3:35 PM, where the audience gets to decide the winners.

Food and Drink: Enjoy Irish and festival foods from various food trucks, and quench your thirst at the wine tents offering a selection of drinks.

Crafts and Vendors: Explore unique artisan crafts and goods at the vendor booths, which will be open from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. There’s something special for everyone, from handcrafted jewelry to Irish-themed souvenirs.

Family Fun: Kids will be entertained by the magical talents of the Yellow Box of Magic, performing multiple times throughout the day.

Shamrock Hills Winery Activities: Attend Q&A sessions about the May 2025 trip to Ireland, or simply relax on the winery patio while enjoying live performances by Eddie Delahunt and Into the Sun.

Parking and Trolley Information:

Parking is available on-site at Shamrock Hills Vineyard and Winery, or you can choose to park in downtown Excelsior Springs and hop on the festival trolley. The trolley offers convenient pick-ups at Pocket Park on Marietta & Broadway, with loops at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 5:00 PM. The last trolley departs Shamrock Hills at 8:00 PM.
