Oktoberfest Welcomes Fall in Excelsior Springs
Downtown Excelsior Partnership held it’s 2021 Oktoberfest in downtown Excelsior Springs on Saturday, September 25. A perfect fall day made for a fun-filled atmosphere for attendees. Activities for the day included numerous vendors peddling goods and wares along Thompson Ave., a home brew competition, Mug Shots craft beer tasting throughout the downtown, a bed race contest between the Atlas Saloon and Dubious Claims Brewing Co., and live music from the band Headz Up.
First place in the home brew competition went to Rock Star Bier Werks 3.82 out of 4 with their Maibock. Dubious Claims Brewing Co. took home the trophy for the bed races, and needless to say all of those who participated in the Mug Shots craft beer tasting went away with high spirits.
Vendors in attendance included, Allison Aletha Illustrations, Hague Quality Water of KC, Haole Hawaiian Ice, KC Star, Pretty In Polish, R^2 Creations, S&P Hunting Supplies, Seint Beauty, Shellenberger Farm, Smoke’n’Strings, and Studio 108.
